Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

All interested people are welcome at Exercise and Sports Sciences information evenings, to be hosted by CQUniversity.

Visitors will gain an update about a new degree, new laboratory facilities and diverse career opportunities available in the field of Exercise and Sports Sciences.

The evenings will be held from 6pm-9pm at the Sports Centre on CQUniversity Rockhampton on Tuesday September 8 and at CQUniversity's Mackay and Bundaberg campuses on Wednesday September 9.
