Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU’s AUQA audit has been scheduled for October 2005 “The scope of the audit is whole of institution. As part of the University’s audit preparations, CQU will conduct a self-review to identify where CQU is performing well, where key improvements may be necessary,” explained Jo Miller, CQU’s Quality Officer..

The audit site visit to the university will lasts 2-5 days.
