Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

VC welcomes new deputies

Vice-Chancellor Professor Glenice Hancock is welcoming two new Deputy Vice-Chancellors to the university this week: Professor Jim Mienczakowski, DVC (Academic and Resources); and Professor Jack Wood, DVC (International and Corporate) started work on Monday.

The three DVCs, the Registrar and Chief Compliance Officer (Ken Window) and the Vice-Chancellor will be meeting extensively this week to develop their working relationship and to set early targets for the overall management of the university.
