Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Faculty photo comp attracts entries from across the region 

A photo competition has attracted 67 entries from Faculty of Arts, Business, Informatics & Education staff members from the Bundaberg, Gladstone, Mackay and Rockhampton campuses.

Photo auctions and sales of photos at a social committee morning tea this week raised funds for the Faculty's adopted 'family in need' of parents and seven children.

Camera House donated prize vouchers and the competition entries were judged by Peter Lawrence and Keith Ireland.
