Law lecturers obtain teaching grant

A small group of Law lecturers (Jenny Butler, Dr Kristy Richardson and Eric Holm) from the Faculty of Business and Informatics are determined to assist students in their learning journey through Business Law subjects.

The lecturers have recently conditionally been granted a Learning & Teaching Development Grant, to the value of $5000, to develop methods of teaching law skills to non-law students.

The research to be undertaken, as part of this grant, will include the implementation of a problem-based learning model, as part of their teaching methods.

Students will be asked to provide feedback on the merits of this method of teaching and it is anticipated that this model may be utilised in the teaching of all Business Law subjects.

It is expected that a presentation regarding this project will be forthcoming in the Learning and Teaching Seminar series.

Anyone interested in this project can contact any of these academics at the Faculty.
