CQU Players Selected in State Rugby League Side

Central Queensland University students Ben Bourke and Ryan Boswood from Rockhampton and Bundaberg’s Rowan Graham have been selected for the Queensland student rugby league side after a recent North Queensland versus South Queensland match at CQU's Rockhampton campus.

PhotoID:53 In an entertaining match, the South side just pipped the North team 20-18. All players were vying for selection for the Universities Rugby League Queensland Representative Side.

Selected players will attend a week-long camp in Brisbane before a match against NSW in Coffs Harbour on April 25. The Australian side will then be selected to compete in the World Cup in Italy.

It was a great effort by the successful CQU trio to gain selection with Nathan McGuire just missing out on selection. As part of the selection process, the CQU team travelled to Mackay to play James Cook University last week. Both Ben and Ryan also play for the CQU North’s Chargers Rugby League side.
