Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Student input 'prized' at Melbourne

Sarfraz Ahemadhusain Malvi is the winner of the Melbourne Campus Term 2' 07 online Student Opinion Survey competition which was conducted recently.

He was randomly selected after filling out the survey which investigates student levels of satisfaction with the services and support provided at CQU-MIC.

Information from the survey will be used in campus improvement plans.

Sarfraz, who is studying for his Master of Information Systems, was happy to accept his prize from Associate Professor Ken Bruce.
