Talia is the youngest of 4 children who grew up in the small town of Verdun in the Adelaide Hills on her parents' property. Her interests as a child included dancing, playing sport, riding horses and motorbikes.

During primary school, Talia also took up singing and guitar lessons and competed in various talent quests, winning various placings.

In 2003, Talia completed Certificate III in music at TAFE and began to concentrate solely on her music.

She went on to study a Bachelor of Music by correspondence for 12 months through the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music and then moved to Mackay for a further semester of study on campus, but has since deferred her studies due to her hectic career.

However, Talia says she hopes to resume her studies one day and she still has some good friends in Mackay. She is also a graduate of the 2007 CMAA Australian College of Country Music.

And along with her brand new Toyota Rav 4 and some other great prizes, the 23-year-old won a record deal with Compass Bros Records as part of her Star Maker Award.

Talia entered the studio in late May with producer Graham Thompson (producer of hit albums by Adam Brand, Melinda Schneider and James Blundell), a collection of great songs and a stellar band including Mark Punch, Rod McCormack, Ian Lees, Glenn Wilson, Clayton Doley and James Gillard.

The final result, ‘Reckless Side Of Me' showcases her powerful and emotional vocals.

The newest resident of the NSW Central Coast penned half of the tracks on the album that talks of love both good & bad (I Can Say That Now & Nothing To Me), relationships (Ain't No Man), some party tracks for the girls (Girls Get Loud & Talk Dirty To Me) plus a comedic take on how women are supposed to act (Ladylike). The first single & title track, Reckless Side Of Me examines the internal battle between right and wrong.
