CQUniversity student Kylie McKiernan has been able to progress within the property industry thanks to support from her long-time employer Herron Todd White, a national property valuation firm.
Ms McKiernan started as a secretary and has since been an accounts manager, office manager and operations manager, on her way to becoming an assistant property valuer with HTW in Brisbane.
Kylie McKiernan - progressing in the property industry
"After 8 years with Herron Todd White, I realised I wanted to stay in the industry and further my career and decided to do CQUniversity's Bachelor of Property, which will give me the necessary degree to obtain my registration as a property valuer," she said.
"I started the degree in 2007 and am hoping to be finished mid next year. With two children (ages 6 and 4) and working part time, it has been a long road but one that I will be proud to have completed.
"My husband has been my rock and I wouldn't have been able to do it without his support and understanding.
"This year I will have been with Herron Todd White for 12 years. They are a wonderful company and one that I am very privileged to be a part of. They have given me many opportunities and allowed me to have a great balance between work and family and of course, study. Without this support from Herron Todd White and my husband, I would not have made it this far."
