Health workers meet Swedish midwifery specialist

Rockhampton health workers this week attended a free public seminar by visiting Swedish midwifery specialist Dr Ingegerd Hildingsson.
Dr Hinglingsson, from Midsweden University, is a nurse and midwife academic who has specialised in the psychological aspects of pregnancy and childbirth.
She is also interested in sharing knowledge about distance education, research into maternity services and childbearing issues and international student exchange programs.
The seminar on 'The Changing Role of Midwifery Practitioners in Sweden' was held on Tuesday at CQU Rockhampton, with videoconference links to CQU Bundaberg, CQU Mackay and CQU Gladstone.
Dr Hinglingsson was hosted by CQU under the Distinguished Visitor Program.
