Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU Mackay hosts SCINEMA

Central Queensland University (CQU) Mackay campus showcased a selection of science films last weekend as part of the SCINEMA Film Festival to kick of Science Week.

PhotoID:3231 A variety of films with a particular science theme were open to the general public for people of all ages. Ten films were shown over the weekend and were enjoyed by young and old.

The Faculty of Science Engineering and Health also put together a colourful display showcasing science orientated programs available at CQU Mackay as well as research opportunities supported by CQU Mackay.
