Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Artists on display at Multicultural Fair

Along with food, dance and entertainment, attendees at this year’s CQ Multicultural Fair and CQU Open Day will be able to experience work from some of Central Queensland’s finest artists.

Cooee Bay Artists will hold an exhibition of artists’ work at the Fair at Central Queensland University this Sunday. The exhibition will run until Friday 16 August.

The exhibition will be held at the Arthur Appleton Gallery, CQU in building 5. All are welcome to attend the exhibition opening night this Friday at 6pm.

The excitement of the tenth annual CQ Multicultural Fair and CQU Open Day will begin at 10am this Sunday, August 11.
