Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Calling all STEPS graduates 

The Central Queensland University STEPS (Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies) program celebrates 20 years of success this year.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, CQU is inviting back all past STEPS graduates and their families to a celebratory evening at each of the STEPS sites, including Rockhampton, Gladstone, Mackay, Bundaberg and Emerald.

This occasion will also be marked by the release of a published book and DVD detailing the remarkable achievements of STEPS and inspiring student stories.
