Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

World-renowned Robyn not shy, but retiring 

Long-serving CQUniversity staff member Robyn Bailey was presented with flowers at the recent 'Going Home' ceremony for international students completing their degrees at Rockhampton Campus.

Ms Bailey has been involved in many such ceremonies over the years but now she is also leaving the campus for a well-earned retirement.

Eight students attended the latest ceremony representing home countries of Bangladesh, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam and China.
