They are multilingual, young and innovative. They also have a very strong work ethic and are winning excellent positions with international and local companies.

Take the case of Umair Cheema. He is a successful IT graduate who was impressed by his educational experience while studying at  CQUniversity Sydney International Campus.

He completed a Master of Information Technology (MIT), specialising in E-Commerce.

Umair highlighted a number of advantages to studying at the Sydney Campus. He found the choice of courses in the MIT program matched his preferences and expectations.

"It was much better than other universities," he says. "CQUniversity's specialized IT courses give graduates a competitive advantage over others.

Umair studied Systems Analysis and Design, Project Management and E-Commerce Technologies with Dr Ergun Gide.

He also commented on the comparative cost advantage of studying at CQUniversity. The ‘attractive fees' at Sydney were among incentives which influenced his choice.

"You also get the chance to mix with people from different cultural backgrounds and join in extra-curricular activities," he observed.

Within 3 months of graduating, Umair was employed as Head Web Programmer with the IT consulting and marketing company, MarketingEye.

The firm occupies a niche market, providing innovative and low-priced E-commerce marketing solutions to businesses looking to avoid the big overhead costs of hiring marketing agents.

Umair says he loves the ‘friendly working environment' at MarketingEye. In addition to his web-programming responsibilities he also has opportunities to practice his project management skills.

Currently he manages a number of small and medium-sized web marketing projects which are designed to fit the business goals of small client firms.

Umair is eager to ‘showcase' his expertise in website design and development.

"I am looking forward to expanding the on-line business of MarketingEye by implementing ‘state of the art' web technologies for our clients," he says.
