CQUniversity's sponsorship and involvement in the recent Wide Bay Australia International Airshow has sparked interest in a wide range of degrees.
Aviation Technology senior lecturer Ron Bishop said there was plenty of interest in the Aviation, Nursing, Education, Business, Social Work and Psychology degrees during the event.
"The Airshow was estimated to have over 20,000 visitors from all over the region," Mr Bishop said.
"More than 10 volunteer Aviation students staffed CQUniversity's information booth; at one point having the chance to chat with Vice-Chancellor Professor John Rickard and his wife Veronica.
"The airshow was a great opportunity for CQUniversity to inform the public about our Aviation degree and for our students to experience the Wide Bay Airshow.
"I am very impressed with our student volunteers and how much they worked to promote the university."
The Wide Bay Airshow is the largest General Aviation Airshow in Australia. Some of the aircraft on display and flying were the Tiger Moth, MIG-17, Yak-52, Caribou, C-130 Hercules and a L-39 Jet (racing a race car), among others. Details are via: www.widebayairshow.com.au/
