From Russia with all of her art - Uliana brushes up on English

Uliana Slinko is a long way from her home country of Russia but she's making the most of the chance to learn at CQUniversity Rockhampton's English Language Centre this year.

Uliana is already getting involved in the community, successfully entering a Gladstone Regional Art Gallery competition, attending a fundraising event for Haitian earthquake victims and going on excursions to meet Australian animals.

She's also helped out with a promotional video for the Language Centre.

Uliana's uncle works and lives in Rockhampton and has helped her visit to study English, with a longer-term goal of studying art at university level in a capital city.
