Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

All are welcome to view short films and documentaries at Rockhampton Campus from Noon on Friday, September 12, at the ISL room (Building 33-G.14).

CQUniversity staff members who have turned their hand to film-making will be showcased.

The short 40-minute program will highlight some challenging artistic work as well as Part One of A Piss in the Ocean - a punk rock doco by Jim Douglas.
