CQU's Associate Professor John Rolfe presented a seminar for the Bureau of Rural Sciences and the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry in Canberra last week.
The title of the seminar was 'Designing Market Trading Systems for Natural Resource Management in Queensland'.
The seminar allowed Associate Professor Rolfe to present updates on two national Market Based Instruments projects that he is involved with.
One is focused on the design of a tender mechanism for landholders to be paid for establishing vegetation corridors in the Desert Uplands region, while the other is focused on opportunities for market approaches to improving water quality in the Fitzroy River.
