CQU Foundation to conduct tours

With the exciting Central Queensland Regional Health Partnership in its infancy, the CQU Foundation will be conducting two key tours of the University.

The first will be of the School of Nursing and Health Studies, planned for Tuesday 18 March at 10am, followed by a tour of the CQU city precinct on Wednesday 16 April.

PhotoID:611 At the School of Nursing and Health Studies, visitors will find out about the latest training methods, see the laboratories, find out what is expected of today's nurse, hear about the programs the students follow and how they manage their clinical placements.

The city precinct tour will include the restoration done on the Early Childhood building on Quay Street, the old District Court building which houses some of the CQU art collection, the old Magistrates Court building now used by the School of Contemporary Communication, the old Supreme Court building which has some amazing history, the current court (Virgil Power) building including the courtrooms and the holding cells for prisoners and finally, depending on Workplace Health and Safety approval, the Post Office, before renovations commence.

These tours are free and bookings are essential, as morning tea will be supplied. Phone Reaghan Bickey on 4923 2509.
