Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Bike 4 Life goes up a gear with 'wine and cheese' launch 

Organisers of the Bike 4 Life event scheduled for CQUniversity Rockhampton on July 31 have taken things up a gear by organising a 'wine and cheese' launch evening.

The launch evening will be held from 5pm-7pm on Saturday May 7 at the CQUniversity Refectory, and is open to all interested people.

The evening will include guest speakers from the cycling community and Sporting Wheelies Association, music by Cameron Wust, wine tasting, a lucky door prize and multi-draw raffle.

Tickets are $20 each and can be ordered via Chris Galinovic 0411 953 824 or Aimee Bartlett 0402 931 218. The launch is presented by the Rotary Club of Rockhampton Fitzroy and the Bike 4 Life Committee. RSVPs are via May 3.
