Acting Chancellor John Tait presented the University Medal to Samuel John Weinholz, Bachelor of Engineering Co-op (Civil) with First Class Honours. Awarded to select first class honours degree graduates, Mr Weinholz was recognized for his distinguished record while at CQU.
Vice Chancellor Glenice Hancock recalled her schooling some 40 years ago -- how lecturers and students had minimal contact – and how much things have changed. Professor Hancock remarked on the friendliness at CQU that she “never had when [she] was studying.” .
“I am confident CQU has equipped you well for your next set of dreams,” said Professor Hancock, who encouraged graduates to do well with the tools they had acquired at university.
