Melbourne has some good sports

CQUniversity Melbourne recently (March 28) hosted its annual Sports Day at Fawkner Park, South Yarra.

Staff, their families and students participated in various sports, including cricket and soccer, and enjoyed a tasty barbecue lunch.

All who attended were able to hear the roar of the F1 cars at the Australian Formula One Grand Prix (just down the road) and had a bird's eye view of the fighter jet planes as part of the Grand Prix events leading up to the actual FI race.

For soccer fans, the day was extra special as Michael Giorgines from Adelaide Galaxy Soccer Club attended the Sports Day and participated in what turned out to be a very competitive game.
