Martin is a former Senior Advisor to NSW Premier and Cabinet, having worked closely with various Ministers and MPs. He has additional experience working with a regional university, with Commonwealth Government agencies, and in the banking sector.

The new role will help deliver the University's vision for a more co-ordinated, structured and effective engagement with government decision makers, and those who influence them.

"There is this tremendous enthusiasm within the University about what the future holds, and there are many opportunities to apply this momentum more strategically in our relationships with government," Martin said.

"I am looking forward to seeing how we can better exploit the University's many achievements when contributing to policy debate, pursuing funding, or seeking to influence decision makers."
