Leadership awards at Melbourne graduation

Two undergraduate and two postgraduate students have been honoured with Campus Director’s Leadership Awards at the CQU Melbourne International Campus graduation ceremony held on December 14.

Hui Zhen (Betty) He, Md Ataur Rahman, Pratibha Sareen and Sutanya Khongsawatkiat have been recognised for commitment to their studies and outstanding results as well as their contribution to campus life, leadership qualities and initiative.

PhotoID:2587 Hui Zhen has been described as a “classic model student” by staff for her desire to achieve, resilience to pressures and willingness to help other students.

Despite her impressive GPA, Hui Zhen has remained humble and respectful of others at all times throughout her Bachelor of Business (Accounting) program.

Her tutors describe her written work as insightful and expressive and praise her enthusiastic class participation.

Md Ataur is recognised for having developed into a studious and confident role model for other students after initially experiencing some loneliness upon his arrival in Australia.

His efforts throughout his Bachelor of IT have been diligent and conscientious and he has formed many friendships through the assistance he has offered other students during class.

Md Atuar has balanced his studies with his love of cricket – a passion he has shared with several of his lecturers.

Prathiba secured nine High Distinctions in her Masters of Accounting – the accomplishment made more remarkable by the birth of her child within one week of her final exams.

Staff have praised Prathiba’s determination and dedication to her studies particularly considering the significance of her pregnancy through term one and two this year. Her GPA of 6.75 is evidence of Prabitha’s outstanding academic expertise.

Sutanya’s excellent grades are the result of hard work, a positive attitude and good organisation.

Her tutors have noted Sutanya’s thoughtful class participation and the guidance and support she has provided to other students.

Utilising services such as the Learning Support Unit she has consistently produced articulate and creative work throughout her Masters of Management (Marketing).

Sutanya has also made the most of her time in Australia, travelling and experiencing the local culture with great appreciation.
