CQUniversity will showcase its environmental research during Gladstone's EcoFest on June 6, in conjunction with World Environment Day.
The University's Centre for Environmental Management (CEM) will highlight its key activities and capabilities during the event at Tondoon Botanic Gardens. Visitors to the stall will be able to view marine creatures under a microscope and there will be a Coastcare display, as CEM staff members also support Coastcare.
CEM is taking research out of the lab
CEM will show how it identifies and addresses the impact of pollutants across a range of land and water zones, how it evaluates options for environmental management and how it helps communities embrace sustainable development.
The Centre will promote services ranging from research and consulting to field sampling, laboratory testing, remote sensing analysis, terrain analysis and water or air-shed modelling.
