MDC makes designs count

The Multimedia Design Centre (MDC) has begun to showcase some of its products on-line at http://mdc.cqu.edu.au/.
“With our Product of the Month we’re sharing successful innovations with the broader CQU community,” said Leonie Power.
This month MDC features an animation sequence developed by MDC on building a computer, which incorporates student control, interactivity, and multimedia into a learning experience for the student. Using this simulation technology, students learn how to construct a “virtual” computer.
MDC provide multimedia solutions to clients who need to make good use of technology in the design and development of educational and promotional materials.
“Academics at CQU need to have multimedia and online course delivery options. In the past 2 years many exciting products, programs and media elements have been designed to support the teaching activity,” explained Ms Power.
A number of MDC projects have been nominated for awards and presented at conferences.
Creative and exciting teaching is undertaken by CQU and the work of the entire MDC team helps makes these products happen.
