Graduate 'volts' into podium finish at engineering competition

Recent CQUniversity graduate John Quinn has been named as Queensland runner-up in the prestigious Present Around the World engineering competition.
Currently working with Ergon Energy, John's competition entry was the 'Closed Loop Voltage Control for Medium Voltage Distribution'.
The IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) Present Around the World (PATW) International Competition Queensland Final and Engineers Australia Queensland Division Electrical and Electronic Engineering Student Presentation Competition is jointly hosted annually by IET Queensland and Engineers Australia Queensland Division, Electrical and ITEE Branches.
John's project was supervised by Dr Amanullah from CQUniversity and Trevor Gear from Ergon Energy. As runner-up, he will receive $200, an IET Certificate of Participation and one year's free membership of IET.
