All welcome to take advantage of State survey

CQUniversity is arranging an annual survey which gives community and academic researchers the chance to access large-scale population-based research for a fraction of the cost associated with stand-alone surveys.

The Population Research Laboratory (PRL) within the Institute for Health and Social Science Research (IHSSR) (formerly the Centre for Social Science Research) is conducting the 5th annual Queensland Social Survey (QSS) in July/August.

The 2009 QSS is an omnibus survey that gathers information from a random sample (n=1200) of the Queensland population using the Computer-Assisted-Telephone-Interview (CATI) technology resident in the PRL.

Applications are invited for participation in the 2009 Queensland Social Survey. Participation is sought via sponsorship of questions to be included in the 2009 QSS. These questions are designed by sponsors (with assistance from the PRL) in order to meet the sponsors' specific research needs.

These tailored questions are then included in the final 2009 QSS questionnaire for a fee. Written cost estimates are provided to potential sponsors upon receipt of draft questions.

Applications for sponsorship of questions in the 2009 QSS will close on Friday June 5.
