The change comes just three months after the appointment of the new Dean of the School, Professor Ysanne Chapman who came to ‘sunny' Central Queensland from Monash University in Gippsland, Victoria.

Originally from the UK, Professor Chapman has called Australia home since 1970. Having originally qualified in nursing and coronary care, she quickly found herself involved in clinical teaching with her first academic appointment at Armidale College of Advanced Education (a predecessor to the University of New England). Here she contributed to the evolution of nursing education to a degree status.

The Professor also has qualifications in education, a Masters of Science (Social Ecology) and a PhD, to add to her others in remedial massage, reflexology and reiki.

Amongst her university postings have been the University of New England, University of Tasmania, Flinders University, the University of Adelaide and Monash University.
