Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Cricket's campus clash now on YouTube 

The home team triumphed in the Chancellor's Challenge Cup Cricket Tournament held at CQUniversity Rockhampton last month, after a series of close encounters. The final match featured Rockhamton versus the Gold Coast in a very tense game.

Rockhampton batted first to reach 108, with Inderjeet Sehmbey scoring 30 and Rohit Ashat scoring 28, while Trishul Mazumdar picked up 3 wickets for the 'Coast' team.

In reply the Gold Coast was bundled out for 94. Trishul Mazumdar top scored on 43 but did not receive enough support from his team mates as bowler Christian Tryhorn picked up 2 wickets for the home team.
