Campus hosts Queensland Multiple Birth State Seminar

CQU Rockhampton (building 18) will host the Queensland Multiple Birth State Seminar over the June long weekend.

Parents of multiple-birth children will descend on the campus from all over Queensland for a long weekend of fun, learning and support from others who have ‘been there, done that'.

Among them will be CQU Psychology & Welfare graduate Scott Green with ‘still studying' wife Kalie, who are parents of Bethanie and Spencer, and Rockhampton Multiple Birth Club president Tim Hannay and ‘still studying' wife Vanessa. Tim and Vanessa  both work in the Rockhampton health industry and are parents to twins Isabelle and Anastasia.

Honorary Doctor of CQU Sue-Ellen Ohl will be a key speaker at the conference, no doubt lending her financial planning skills to all present, along with Dr Simon Walton, internationally recognised IVF specialist.

As well, mum of identical twins and speech pathologist Suzanne Vandeleur and teacher Linda Perret will be discussing speech development and learning of the multiple birth child, and the dilemma for some families regarding separating twins at school.

The theme of the seminar - 'RockVegas', indicates that the entire weekend will not all be too serious.
