Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Janine wins Catholic Ed prize and celebrates with family 

Janine Bella celebrated her graduation with her parents and 5 sisters, last weekend at CQU Mackay' s 10th Graduation Ceremony held at the Mackay Entertainment Centre.

PhotoID:3278 Janine was awarded a Bachelor of Learning Management (Early Childhood) with Distinction.

On the Friday night before the big day, she was awarded the Catholic Education (Diocese of Rockhampton) Prize during a Prize Ceremony held in the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music foyer.

Janine is now working as a primary school teacher in Gladstone, at St. John's Primary School.

She is pictured above with her lecturer and Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Education, Dr Cecily Knight, who presented the award to Janine.
