Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Swedish lessons in materials management 

Professor Dag Ericsson, a consultant to Sweden's leading manufacturers will offer advice about e-commerce and e-logistics at a half day workshop at CQU Rockhampton on Thursday morning, April 15.

Ericsson, who pioneered the Swedish concept of materials administration and supply chain management in the 1970s, currently focuses on the relationship between technology, management and organisational effectiveness; in particular the enablement of renewal processes and organisational restructuring.

The workshop is hosetd by CQU's purchasing and materials management specialist Ken Dooley, from the Faculty of Business and Law.
