Lecturer Desirae Kirby said the day was always popular with local high school students and campus students.

“The lecture is always worthwhile and it is another opportunity for the University to host local high school students here on-campus.” The lecture is part of a tour which takes in many towns throughout Queensland from Gympie to Cairns.

It was appropriate the lecture happened the week prior to National Science Week, as the staff of the University prepare for an onslaught of 160 primary school children around the corridors.

There will be science galore and many experiments taking place this Thursday when students from three local schools being enticed into the magic world of science.
