.... The University welcomes students from a wide range of age groups and walks of life; in fact The Good Universities Guide 2010 notes that it is among Australia's top 3 universities for providing access to people from all backgrounds.

The Guide also notes our graduates are at the top of the earnings ladder and gives CQUniversity the top 5-star rating for 'international enrolments' and 'cultural diversity'.

"At CQUniversity we believe that success springs from being immersed in a community that is dynamic, supportive and innovative," said Head of Bundaberg Campus Professor Phillip Clift.

"This environment ensures all of our students from every culture are given the tools that will enrich and empower them both academically and personally.

"No matter what your experience or ability, you can now gain wider and better access to programs and courses because of our links to industry and our introductory programs."

With 4 unique access programs and about 100 different degrees, CQUniversity offers one of the best mixes of classroom and workplace learning  - whether students choose to study by distance education, on campus or a mix of both.

Areas of study include: information technology; business; humanities and social sciences; education; built environment and design; creative and performing arts; engineering and technology; health and recreation; primary industries and environment and sciences.

"The key characteristics that differentiate us are pathways, including free bridging programs that make university accessible and relevant; exclusive integrated workplace learning programs; expertise in distance education; and enduring support that helps you succeed," Professor Clift said.

"No university has a better understanding of the requirements of students. It's why students from all over the world have made CQUniversity their first choice."

If you have previously studied at a university, TAFE College or other post-compulsory institution, your qualifications may entitle you to exemptions or credit transfer into a program at CQUniversity.
