Melbourne welcomes over 60 new students

CQU Melbourne International Campus staff recently welcomed more than 60 new students who participated in a wide variety of activities throughout the Term 3 Orientation Day program.
In addition to the usual information sessions delivered by key staff across campus, several more interactive sessions were included.
Some of the current students who helped welcome the newcomers (from left) Kamaldeep Singh, Ivy Chung and Bir Prakash
These involved students in group activities plus an orientation quiz, encouraging them to interact and ask questions.
Each group was facilitated by a current MIC student volunteer, who very capably led the activities and ensured they were lively and fun.
Student volunteers also participated in a student panel to answer questions from our newcomers and to offer relevant input about adapting to study and aspects of living in Australia.
Judging by the smiles at the end of the program when students received CQU backpacks and other gifts plus the comments in the evaluation survey, our new students are now well informed and ready to meet the challenges of the term ahead.
