The Central Queensland University Postgraduate Student Organisation's 2003 Postgraduate Symposium was a huge success with 19 diverse presentations staged.
Honours, Masters and PhD students presented their research in 20-minute segments to an attentive audience throughout the day.
Topics were diverse ranging from a presentation on 'Krombit tinker frogs' to 'Researching education through images'.
The best presentations were from honours student Lee-Anne Maher (Business & Law), John Clarke (Arts, Health & Sciences) and Nicholas Young (Informatics & Communication).
Supervisor of the year was Associate Professor Tony Ward (Business & Law) and an honourable mention went to Professor Dudley Roach (Engineering & Physical Systems) and Dr Christine Murphy (Business & Law).
The formal proceedings culminated in a cocktail party.
The Postgraduate Student Organisation (PSO) is an advisory committee of the CQU Student Association Board which represents all postgraduate students in providing a voice for and promoting the interests of the CQU postgraduate community.
