Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

University 'brand' again on live cattle sale webcast 

CQU Information Technology Division has once again provided a live webcast for the Brahman Week Cattle Sale at Gracemere Saleyards near Rockhampton this week (October 3-5).

CQU Flexible Delivery Services manager Shaune Sinclair said this collaborative project has been made possible by CQU media streaming expertise and the implementation of CQU's new video streaming systems.

"This has been a collaborative project between CQU, Australian Brahman Breeders Association and the Rockhampton District Saleyards Board (Gracemere Saleyards)," Mr Sinclair said.

\"We were keen to collaborate in the projects to engage with the community, to demonstrate and promote CQU\'s new flexible delivery technologies and our expertise, and to research the practical applications of the technology.".
