The CQU Student Association is urging students at the Rockhampton campus to take part in this year’s Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal.

CQU Rockhampton will be coordinating the door knock for Zone 3 on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May and are seeking about 175 people to be drivers, collectors or counters.

PhotoID:697 CQU’s coordinator of the event Gina Yarrow said the Red Shield Appeal door knock gave staff, students and members of the community the opportunity to take part in a great community service.

“We are looking for 35 teams of about five people to cover the area from Moores Creek to Parkhurst,” Mrs Yarrow said.

“This is a large area, but I am confident that CQU staff, students and other members of the community can meet the challenge.” The Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal raises funds to help those in need in our community.

To be involved in this event contact Gina on 4923 2507 or 0409 309 142.
