Let's talk Chemistry at CQU Bundaberg

Central Queensland Association of Chemists’ first meeting for 2003 was held at CQU Bundaberg campus last weekend, with CQU Bundaberg academic, Stacey Cunningham, a guest speaker.

Science lecturer, Desirae Kirby, said the campus was the perfect location for the event, with chemists and engineers from across the Central Queensland region in attendance.

“Our campus was ideal, allowing easy access for Wide Bay members to attend, as well as those who travelled down from Gladstone and Rockhampton,” Ms Kirby said.

Ms Kirby said the meeting also provided the opportunity to showcase regional research.

“University staff provided members with an overview of research occurring at CQU and specifically here in Bundaberg with Stacey Cunningham presenting her research on Corporate Environmental Reporting.

“It was also good to give CQU Bundaberg science students the opportunity to socialise with industry members – after all these may even be their future employers.
