CQUniversity is steaming ahead with a Graduate Diploma and Masters in Rail Safety Management, following a launch event in early September.
The courses are the first tertiary-level programs of their kind to be offered by distance education in Australia.

They are being offered in conjunction with the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Rail Innovation and involve input from academics based at CQUniversity's Appleton Institute in Adelaide.
"Benefits of these courses for the rail industry are immense," says CEO of the CRC for Rail Innovation David George. "Those completing the courses will become leaders in safety management in their organisations."
The CRC has contributed to the courses by developing a number of modules through a research project: National Rail Safety Management Program.
These new courses were launched at the National Wine Centre of Adelaide during a dinner for key industry and safety personnel.
