The counsellors also received a tour of the campus and were lucky enough to participate in the Diwali celebrations being held on that day.

The Hindu festival of Diwali was celebrated at Melbourne Campus on Friday, November 9.

The word diwali means ‘row of lights' so is often referred to as The Festival of Lights. Diwali marks the New Year according to the Hindu calendar and the universal theme is the triumph of good over evil, the darkness making way for light and ignorance leading to knowledge.

Students, staff and campus visitors shared the traditional offering of special sweets.
