Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Youth can be 'talented-spotted' in Rocky 

Young people aged between 12-28 have the chance to be 'talent-spotted' as an elite athlete of the future by visiting Rockhampton Showgrounds on Tuesday, May 19.

CQUniversity* will conduct sessions at 11am and 1pm in conjunction with the Australian Sports Commission's National Talent Identification and Development (NTID) program.

Anyone who demonstrates above average potential in the tests may be invited to participate in the NTID program.
