Active Kids Rockhampton is on again

The Active Kids Rockhampton 2006 Sport and Recreation Camp will be held from January 16-20 2006 at Central Queensland University, Rockhampton.

2006 looks to be bigger and better, with more sport and recreation groups coming on board, bigger numbers expected and an early bird discount.

PhotoID:2264 The inagural Active Kids Rockhampton, a 5-day energy packed camp in January of this year before School commenced, was an enormous success, with over 40 children aged 10-12 getting the best of Central Queensland\'s sport and recreation.

Development Officers and Recreation Leaders from across CQ joined forces to provide qualified activity sessions ranging from basketball, soccer and athletics to line dancing, taebo and swimming.

Central Queensland University students play a major role in Active Kids, with student teachers and Industry Practicum students from the School of Health & Human Performance forming the Project Team and Camp Captains for the Camp. This group of motivated students are already immersed in preparations for the 2006 camp.

The most up-to-date information on Active Kids Rockhampton can be found on via our School Website (http://www.ahs.cqu.edu.au/hhp/active_kids.htm) including information about the Active Kids Project Team and registration forms.

Additionally, for 2006 there will be an early bird discount for families who register by Friday November 25.
