CQU helps train Dubai official

CQU's Direct Edge corporate development arm has provided training for an officer of one of the world's most rapidly developing countries, the United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf.
Working in conjunction with Austrade and Queensland Purchasing, Direct Edge provided a mentoring program for the visitor.
Mr Ken Dooley, from the Faculty of Business & Law, travelled to Brisbane to help deliver the training to newly-appointed Contracts and Tender Manager from the Dubai Municipality, Ibrahim Yaob All Naseer.
Mr Naseer is part of a committee responsible for capital works procurement worth more than $6 billion.
His nine-day visit to Brisbane, organised by Direct Edge, included training and mentoring programs with Queensland Purchasing, other areas of the Department of Public Works, and other agencies such as Queensland Rail and the Department of Main Roads.
