Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

International 'Nite' rescheduled 

The Rockhampton International 'Nite' featuring performances by students from a range of cultures has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 18.

International Student Association president Rakiza Hussein encouraged participation in the event, due to be held from 6.30pm at the CQU Sports Complex.

Tickets: Children - $4.99 Students/ISA members - $6.99; Adults/non-members - $9.99; Family of 4 - $25.

All ticket prices include meals provided that tickets are purchased well in advance to help with catering notification.

Tickets will go on sale from Thursday and can be purchased from the CQU Student Association.
