Over 25 new ‘bump hats’ have been issued to Central Queensland University Mackay staff in recent weeks.

PhotoID:812 Facilities Management staff member Steve Oberg said the new hats were part of on-going upgrades to emergency procedures.

“We continually train emergency teams about procedures for dealing with emergencies and the new bump hats are part of the current round of upgrades to procedures,” he said.

“In an emergency situation staff and students need to be responding to directions offered by staff who will be wearing the new yellow and white hats.
