Students, staff and graduates from the Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Education helped ensure the success of one of Rockhampton's foremost events, Big River Jazz, on Saturday night (September 8).

Thousands of patrons enjoyed the local and visiting bands in the wonderful Ski Gardens riverside location.

Bachelor of Creative Enterprises (BCE) student Ashley Muldoon helped event organisers with design of the brochures, posters and publicity material as well as the TV advertising on Channel 10.

Another BCE student, Tony Doak helped coordinate involvement from a range of students, staff and graduates.

Assistance came from a variety of sources, including David Swarbrick and Trent Mylrea who helped as stage managers on the night and others, including Amber Murray, Michael Haughton, Emma Haughton and Constance May-Moore, who arranged a Faculty stall as well as face-painting to entertain the kids.

Event organisers from Rockhampton Tourist & Business Information (RTBI) have recorded their appreciation for the student involvement.
