Central Queensland University’s Commonwealth Building in the CBD is undergoing a facelift and will soon feature a new exterior colour scheme.
The building, previously dusty pink, is currently being painted blue and cream and is due to be completed on 22 February.
CQU’s Paul Lancaster said the University had legal requirements to maintain the building and said it was time the building had a colour change.
The building is home to a number of commercial tenants as well as University tenants including: the Family Court, Australian Hearing Authority, Australian Electoral Commission, Australian Communication Authority, DEST, Telstra Country Wide, ATSIC, Fitzroy Basin Elders Committee, COIN Internet Academy, Rockhampton District Development Ltd, Rockhampton Chamber of Commerce, Area Consultative Committee, Direct Edge, Group Solutions and BEST.
